Artist Statement

I am amazed at the rich and deep colours nature creates in her flowers combined with the intricate shapes and forms of the foliage. I am also interested in the chaotic and calm balance of nature, especially trees with their branches intertwining, creating a system of paths and shadows that journey towards the sky.

As an avid flower photographer, my current work is based around the floral works of the late American female modernist painter, Georgia O’Keefe, creating large scale canvases depicting colour and form.
